Importance Of Interactive Flat Panel Display In Education

During the recent years, education institutions are moving from the old whiteboard/chalkboard systems to the more technologically advanced devices. The benefits of these devices can't be denied. However, with more and more types of devices coming into the market, making a choice is no easier.
Among such multiple alternatives, the interactive flat panel display has emerged as a strong competitor. Recent surveys show that, by the end of 2014, the sales of interactive flat panel display surpassed the conventional interactive whiteboard sales. And by the mid of 2016, the former owns more than 50% of the market share.
Each device has its own merits and demerits. When it comes to the interactive flat panel display, it is far easier to use than the interactive whiteboard and projector system. It consists mainly of a large touch screen having a high-quality bright display with a built-in sound system, which can be used instantly after switching it on. Also, it can be connected to any smart device like computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones. The ease of installation and use is the major advantage of this device that scores over other alternatives. Apart from this, it can be installed in any corner of the classroom without worrying much about the lightning.
However, in the case of the interactive whiteboard and projector system, the location of the screen and the projector is to be carefully selected and the location of the lights is also adjusted accordingly. The sound system also needs to be installed and collaborated with the interactive system. All these factors make the installation of the interactive whiteboard system a more time-consuming process.
On the other hand, the interactive flat panel has its own limitations also. It is costlier than the other alternatives like the interactive whiteboard. Also, the screen size is limited. Therefore, in the case of large gatherings in halls, it is difficult to use the interactive flat panel while the screen size in interactive whiteboard and projector system can be modified according to the need.
Considering the above-mentioned qualities of these devices, it is obvious that the selecting the right one is based more on the situation and the need. There is no one fit for all option. However, more or less all of them are far better than the conventional old-fashioned systems.
