to the report, as many as 335,000 sets of interactive devices were shipped in the first half of 2015, with a YOY growth rate of 13.2%. The
sales amounted to ¥ 4.41 billion, with a YOY
growth rate of 12.9%. On the other hand, 178, 000 sets
of interactive devices were shipped in the second quarter, with a YOY growth
rate of 5.3%. The sales reached ¥ 2.15 billion, with a YOY growth rate
of 6.5%. Obviously, the IWB market witnessed growth in either H1 or Q2.
Interactive
Flat Panel VS. Interactive Whiteboard Market
It
is reported that 90,000 sets of interactive flat panels were shipped in the
second quarter, accounting for 50.4% of the market share and beating
interactive whiteboards for the first time, with a YOY growth rate of 34.0%. While
88,000 sets of interactive whiteboards were shipped, which declined by 13.6% compared
to the same period last year in spite of a slight increase in comparison with
the first quarter, whose shipment reached 87,000 sets.
Based
on the report, interactive flat panels saw steady growth in terms of the market
share, reaching 47.8% in the first half of 2015, with a YOY growth rate of 14.1%.
However, interactive whiteboards suffered a continuous decline in the first 2
quarters compared to the same periods last year. Moreover, interactive flat panels
(large-size screens in particular) are expected to grow steadily and enjoy more
popularity, whose market share is forecasted to take a leading position in the
second half of 2015.
